I bought this ‘65 Barracuda in 2003.

I have decided to try to restore this Barracuda as close to stock as possible. This sounded 'easy' at first, but I have since learned just how hard it is to find parts for these old Barracudas! There aren't many sitting around, and the restoration companies are not making a lot of replacement parts.

When I bought the car there was only one working light, the front driver's headlight. With the help of another club member, ‘Sparky’, we have been able to get all of the lights to work!

Like most forty year old cars, the more I dig, the more I find! I plan to do a complete rotisserie restoration.

eBay, Year One, Layson’s, and The Paddock are going to love me!!!!

I have always felt that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we don’t understand ‘why’ at the time, and we may never figure it out, but it all happens for a reason.

Feeling this way, I have to wonder if the ‘God of Muscle Cars’ wasn’t sending me a message that he felt it was time to move forward with the restoration. You see, in June of 2004, my daughter and I were ‘t-boned’ while driving home from a car club meeting.

We were hit in the driver’s side right at the a-pillar; which was pushed in more than 2 ½ inches! The door, fender, hood, and quarter panel were all damaged. The car is fixable, but it is going to take me a while.

So, I now find myself bowing to the ‘Master of Muscle’ and starting the restoration a lot earlier than planned!
